Do I have to download any software to play the game?
No. The game should run on any modern browser that has Javascript enabled.
Why does the game require Javascript to be enabled?
We originally designed the game to be HTML only, but the interface was so slow and hard to use that we had to give up and use Javascript.
Will cookies be stored on the computer I use to log in to Stellar Pioneers?
No. We don't use cookies because of potential security issues. We don't store any of your account details on the computer you use to connect to the game.
Which browsers are supported?
We currently test and support Firefox 3 and Internet Explorer 6, but IE7 and standards complient browsers (e.g. Opera) should also work.
Which browser(s) do you recommend?
Firefox 3 because it draws the user interface significantly faster than IE6.
Will the game run on my phone or PDA?
We designed Stellar Pioneers to fit on an 800 pixel wide screen and we wouldn't recommend it for lower resolution devices; though it should work on any platform that has a standards compliant browser with Javascript (e.g. Android). We don't support WAP and are not currently considering producing a lower resolution interface.
